Shopenhauer had one of his better moments in plucking apart the same subject; I'm paraphrasing, but his comment followed something like, "To say that God is the World, or that the World is God, is to invent synonyms for both while describing neither."

Because, honestly, you're just not that bright. Which is how the pantheistic "god" has always struck me as being.
